Dialogue in the dark (Dialog im Dunkeln)

Dialogue in the dark (Dialog im Dunkeln)

The exhibition guarantees that you won't get to see anything - but discover many things!

In the centre of Hamburg's Speicherstadt (Storehouse City), blind and visually handicapped people guide the visitors through the exhibition "Dialogue in the dark". A trip to a foreign, fascinating world. A world in which smells and sounds, words and touches replace optical impulses.

Familiar things become wrong, normal things are questioned. Every-day-situations like a walk in a park or the visit to a café develop into a singular adventure in absolutely dark rooms. The visitors experience how they confide to absolutely foreign people who guide them through the dark with total reliability. The seeing become the blind and the blind the seeing.

The Dinner in the Dark (4-course-menu with champagne reception; 55,00 € plus drinks) makes you experience treats of a very special kind because it is surely not a treat for the eyes. A challenge for treat and table culture.
