Co-producer for SISTER ACT was none other than the actress Whoopi Goldberg. The music itself comes from the musical eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, composer of world-known songs from many Disney films.

SISTER ACT The Musical tells the story of the ambitious, but not particularly successful night club singer Deloris Van Cartier. As she is witness to a murder, the police takes Deloris into protective custody and brings her to the only place that would really provide security: a monastery! After some initial difficulties getting used to the strict monastic life, with her intoxicating charm Deloris brought the nuns' choir to a new life. Side by side with her sisters, she drives her persecutors to despair and the fantastic music of the choir in the hearts of the audience.
