With the rapid transit line S1 to the Airport

There are services to and from the station Hamburg Airport (Flughafen) from 04:29 a.m., when the first train of the day arrives at the airport, until 0:14 a.m., when the last train departs for the city centre. The trains run at 10-minute intervals between 06:00 a.m. and 23:00 p.m., every 20 minutes before and after these times.
Passengers travelling from the city centre have to pay attention at Ohlsdorf, the last stop before the airport, as S1 trains split up here: The first three cars (in the direction of travel) run to the airport, the last three cars to Poppenbüttel.
Journey time: it takes just 25 minutes to get from the airport to the central station (Hauptbahnhof) in the city centre, where there are also connections to long-distance routes.
