The day ticket is valid from 0:00 a.m. at the stated day till 06:00 a.m. of the following day.

The 3-Day-Ticket and the 5-Day-Ticket are both valid for the stated day and for the next 2 or 4 following days.

All tickets are valid until the end of operating service, that is until 06:00 a.m. of the following day.

No, unfortunately not. The discounts are always on the standard price and student or pensioners’ discounts for e.g. cannot be further discounted on presentation of the Hamburg CARD. Goods already reduced by our shopping partners are also excluded from discounts.

You will receive a 20% discount on meals and first beverages at the following restaurants. Please note that the participating restaurants will only grant a discount if you inform personnel BEFORE ordering that you have a valid Hamburg CARD. We regret that the discount can only be granted if you honour this condition – retrospective discounts will not be granted.

The Hamburg CARD is valid in all means of transport of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund. Regional rail services (U/S/A/R lines), buses, MetroBuses, SchnellBus limited-stop services, EilBus sprinter services, nightbuses, harbour and river ferry (except from 1st class).

Please note that the Hamburg CARD is valid in the Greater Hamburg Area. It includes many places of interest as well as e.g. the connection to the airport.
The Hamburg CARD plus Region is valid in the total HVV network. This area even comprises destinations like Lüneburg and Stade in Lower Saxony or Ratzeburg, Mölln and Bad Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Children under 6 travel for free as a matter of principle.

Single tickets, however, also automatically cover children! Single tickets are always valid for single persons and up to 3 children under 15. A single ticket can thus be used by a maximum of 4 persons – both on HVV buses and trains and also with our Hamburg CARD partners.

Group tickets are always valid for several persons: one payment covers up to 5 persons of any age!
