Christopher Street Day
With slogan parties, a street festival in the city centre and loads of informative events, the gay community and their friends got together as in years past for the climax of the Pride party: the Polit Parade.
Every year in late summer, the Christopher Street day gets going from the corner of Lange Reihe and Schmilinskystrasse - the heart of Hamburg's gay and lesbian scene - before setting off for a trek right through the city centre.
That means three days of parties, packed with a bumper-load of events, exhibitions, concerts, street festivals and a big parade. The organisers are expecting partying and discussion with lesbians and gays from all over the world.
