Alster-Boat-Rides
Hamburg is the only place where you can tour the city by ship - on the Inner and Outer Alster.
From Alster, Fleet- and Canal-Tours to nostalgic Steamer Cruises and Twilight Tours: There are various different tours to examine Hamburg from the waterside.
Alster-Cruise
From the Jungfernstieg criss-cross over the Alster up to the "Winterhuder Fährhaus" and back. The boat takes nine stops on the way, where you can hop on and off whenever you like. Departures: 4. April until 11. October every day hourly departures from Jungfernstieg, from 10:15 am until 05:15 p.m.
Alster-Tour
Float along the beautiful Alsterpark, quaint mansions and sailboats – during wintertime there are also "punch tours" with cocoa and mulled wine on the cosily heated ship. Departures: 4. April until 4. October daily departures from Jungfernstieg, every half our from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., 5. October until 1. November at 10:00 a.m. and from 11:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. half-hourly an also at 05:00 p.m.
Trip on Hamburg's Waterways
From the inner Alster, the boat takes you through the town hall- and Schaartor-watergate to the harbour and the storehouse city with its gigantic warehouses and magazines for rugs, spices, coffee or tobacco. Departures: 4. April until 1. November daily departures from Jungfernstieg at 10:45 a.m., 01:45 p.m. and 04:45 p.m., in November and December only at 01:45 p.m.
On Hamburg’s Canals
Just a little way out of the city centre, you will witness the green idyll of the residential areas around the Alster with their mansions, allot gardens and the "Stadtparksee". Departures: 4. April until 1. November daily departures from Jungfernstieg at 09:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 03:45 p.m., 1. May until 4. October also at 11:45 a.m., 02:45 p.m. and 05:45 p.m.
"Vierlande" excursion to Bergedorf
On the 20 kilometre tour to Bergedorf and the marshland, you will go through 4 watergates, always passing by green meadows, healthy fields and greenhouses. Departures: 1. May until 4. October every day except Mondays and Tuesdays from Jungfernstieg at 10:15 a.m. (Duration: 3 hours)
Twilight Tour
When the lights go off in Hamburg, the Alster-Tour gets really romantic. When the tide allows it, in September the tour goes through the beautifully illuminated storehouse city. Departures: daily departures from Jungfernstieg at 08:00 p.m.
