Miniatur Wunderland

Come and visit the biggest miniature train system in the world! Experience a great landscape with houses and figures, cars and trees, hills and valleys, night and day and, of course, lots and lots of tracks and trains!

Situated in the old warehouse district, the miniature train system became one of the most visited tourist attractions in Germany.

The Miniatur Wunderland stretches over a size of 6,400 square meters (more than 68,000 square feet). It contains almost 930 trains with more than 14,450 wagons, 228,000 trees, 215,000 figures, 8,850 cars, 13,000 track length and 3,660 houses and bridges. The whole model railway system was build by 230 workers who spend more than 580,000 working hours on the project.

You can travel from Scandinavia over Austria and to the USA, from the coast to the high mountains. Inside the Wunderland day and night are experienced within a few hours and for the most different kind of regions of our planet. Gambling in Las Vegas, hiking in the alps in Switzerland, rowing on Norwegian fjords or visit Hamburg`s most famous sights. Everything is possible in the Wunderland.

And the Miniatur Wunderland is still expanding. Until the year 2020 the number of areas will be grown from currently seven to twelve. In May 2011, the Miniatur Wunderland gained a further attraction: The Knuffingen Airport! The airport is one of the most complex structural engineering projects of the Miniature Wonderland, offering visitors more than 100 airplanes and vehicles which move automatically. It is certain that afterwards building of France and Italy will beginn. When these landscapes will be done two more additional spectacular areas will be constructed.
