With eDEMi, Torture the Artist continues to shape a platform dedicated to forward-thinking club
culture, long-form musical storytelling, and meaningful exchange between local and international
scenes. For its next edition, the Hamburg-based series welcomes one of the UK underground’s
most exciting rising names: Wilba.
Following standout appearances by French tastemakers Nuts and Dawidu, Manchester’s J6, and
Ba Dum Tish signing Ballan, Wilba marks the next underground biggie to step behind the decks
for eDEMi. Co-founder of Fraise Records and formerly one half of Duowe, he has recently
returned with a full EP under his new solo alias, refining his signature sound through a more
emotive and immersive lens. Inspired by dancefloors and festival moments alike, the release
delivers four moody cuts that blur the lines between Electro and Tech House. Stripped-back drum
grooves, rumbling basslines, and echo-laced synths unfold with hypnotic precision - music
designed to move bodies and minds deep into imagined woodland rave clearings.
This refined yet raw approach translates powerfully into Wilba’s DJ sets, where subtle tension,
groove, and atmosphere take precedence over shortcuts. His sound sits comfortably between
introspection and functionality - club music that rewards close listening as much as collective
movement.
The main club lineup brings together Wilba with Holger Breuer and Lukas Urbaum. As the head of
Torture the Artist, Holger Breuer remains the backbone of the series, shaping its identity through
careful programming, deep musical knowledge, and a strong commitment to underground values.
Lukas Urbaum, a close Torture the Artist affiliate, represents the project’s extended creative
network, reinforcing the connection between the label, its artists, and its community.
Together, the trio will guide the night in the Anbau at Haus 73 through a carefully curated journey -
from deep, nuanced grooves to immersive late-night pressure, rooted in atmosphere, detail, and
shared energy.
Before the club space opens, the evening begins with a recorded warm-up session in the Salon.
The warm-up lineup features Wilba, Holger Breuer, Lukas Urbaum alongside Friz07, a member of
Hamburg’s Bladehouse crew, known for numerous events at venues such as Pudel and Südpol.
With his minimalistic and tech-driven sound, Friz07 provides a focused and hypnotic opening,
adding a distinct layer to the stream and setting the tone for the night ahead.
Blending intimate listening with collective movement, the warm-up session serves as both an
entry point and a standalone musical statement - documenting the early energy before the night
fully unfolds.
