In a region where the lads are as rough as the sea and homophobia is anything but subtle, the paths of Jack and Daniel cross. Both are shellfish fishermen, both are no-nonsense types, but their lives couldn’t be more different: Daniel is an independent nomad and openly gay, whilst Jack is heterosexual, married and deeply rooted in the rustic fishing village. They playfully give in to their magnetic attraction on a fishing boat that becomes a romantic island – until the bubble bursts painfully. A moving (late-bloomer) coming-of-age film about the importance of making choices.
