Gloin, Lucidvox
- Konzerte
Gloin is a four-piece noise rock group from Canada, known for their cathartic live sets and eclectic songwriting. Using bombastic rhythmic constructs, savvy arrangements and fervid melodies, the Toronto outfit put forth solemn tracks about perseverance and self-determination that are cleverly subverted through sarcastic commentary, courtesy of their sense of humor. "All of your anger is actually shame (and I bet that makes you angry)" was released in March 2025 via Mothland.
Lucidvox's album "That’s What Remained" (Glitterbeat Records, 11/2023) is vast-sounding. A collection of swirling ritual missives offered up in the hope of better times. Formerly based in Russia, for their new album That’s What Remained, the all-female quartet has added additional sonic thrust (horns, keyboards, strings, atmospheric textures) to their already acclaimed and impassioned psych-rock. “They’re a heavy, intense and mesmerising maelstrom of wind-tunnel vocals, drones, treated guitar and shamanic rhythms…with innate beauty too.” (Mojo).
